My name is Josh Clouser. I am a Portland, OR based film photographer. I now call the Pacific Northwest home, though i’ve also lived in Alaska, Japan, and Sweden. My perspective has been cultivated over 20+ years of film/digital photography, rooted in how I see nature, earth, and humanity. I am an observer, appreciating the reasons why things happened the way they did and forever intrigued with the unique qualities of each person.
I began exploring photography as a child. My first camera was a Kodak 110mm, an easy point-and-shoot that travelled with me everywhere. My dad and grandfather were both avid photographers, slinging their 35mm SLRs during all travels and at every family event. I was inspired to follow suit, capturing moments in place and time as mementos and bookmarks.
I am intentional with every shot. I’m a freelance photographer and would love to connect and create with each and every one of you. I am interested in travel, landscape, street, and documentary photography; prepared to embrace community, culture, and any creative group to produce beautiful and original work.
My most cherished and sacred moments in life are those filled with others. I love my wife, my daughter, and our bun in the oven.
